Domestic License Application (Same as Taiwan Resident)

1. A.R.C. (permitted for a stay of more than 12 months for Hong Kong, Macau, and Mainland residents, and 6 months for other countries) or original R.O.C. I.D.
2.  Must be over 18 years old for a regular driving license application.

Motorcycle License: The following description is for the original heavy-duty motorcycle:

1. R.O.C. I.D. card, or A.R.C. (must be originals, and criteria are listed above).
2. Motorcycle driver's license registration form (must pass a physical examination).
3. Three identical recent 1-inch bust front view photos, bareheaded, on glossy paper (including physical examination).
4. Fee: NTD 450 (250 for the test and 200 for the license issuance).
5. Qualified by written/road test.

Car License:

The following description is for a regular light vehicle:

Learning permit issuance & Necessary Documentation:

1. R.O.C. I.D. card, or A.R.C. (must be originals, and criteria are listed above).
2. Driver's license registration form (must pass a physical examination & physical ability examination).
3. Three identical recent 1-inch bust front view photos, bareheaded, on glossy paper (including physical examination).
4. Fee: NTD 100 for the learning permit issuance and 150~200 for the hospital physical examination & physical ability examination.

Written/Site & Road Test & Necessary Documentation:

1. R.O.C. I.D. card, or A.R.C. (must be originals, and criteria are listed above).
2. Driver's license registration form (must pass a physical examination & physical ability examination).
3. One recent 1-inch bust front view photo, bareheaded, on glossy paper, identical to the photo on the driver's license registration form.
4. Learning permit (or car driver's license) valid for more than 3 months.
5. Qualified by the written/site and road test.
6. Written test and site test valid for one year.
7. Fee: NTD 450.
